Earlier this month we told you about the upcoming Spring Clean-up efforts taking place in the Bangor and Brewer areas. Old Town just announced the dates for their clean-up, so you can mark your calendars.

According to the City of Old Town's Facebook Page, those looking to get rid of bagged leaves and brush should put their compostable bags out curbside during the weeks of May 15th and May 22nd.

According to the City of Old Town's Facebook Page, the 2023 Old Town Annual Curbside Spring Clean-Up will take place Monday, June 5th through June 12th.

There are 2 categories of items the Old Town Public Works Department will pick up; White Goods and Bulky Furniture.

Personal electronics such as computers, televisions, printers and the like will not be collected curbside.

For Old Town citizens who are looking to get rid of electronics or hazardous waste, such as adhesives, glues, resins, car batteries, pesticides, and swimming pool chemicals, to name a few, there will be an opportunity to do so.

There will be a Hazardous Waste Collection Event on June 10th from 8 AM to 12 PM at the Recycling Center located at 246 Gillman Falls Avenue in Old Town. They do require proof of residency, so be ready to present that.

There is no need to call Public Works to collect items you place curbside if they meet the criteria, as the crews will be coming around to pick these things up automatically.
