Skowhegan Man Critical After Shot From Pellet Gun

A Skowhegan man is in critical condition after being shot by a pellet gun.

19-year-old Charles Quimby was shot in the head by a pellet gun shortly after noon at a home on Joyce Street in Skowhegan. WABI-TV reports he was taken to Reddington Fairview Hospital before being flown by Life Flight to Maine Medical Center. At last report, Quimby was in critical condition.

Police executed a search warrant to collect the pellet gun and any other evidence. There's no word on who fired the shot and no arrests have been made.

This incident remains under investigation.
