Silver Alert For Missing Boothbay Man [UPDATE]

Police say a missing Boothbay man has been found safe.

Public Safety spokesman Steve McCausland says 75-year-old John F. Edwards was reported missing by his wife on Saturday morning. It was believed that he had taken his  white 2008 Toyota 4-Runner when he left his Tavenner Road home at around 4:00 Saturday morning. His wife told authorities that he has some early signs of dementia and so she was concerned when she realized he was gone.

Police now say that Edwards drove to Massachusetts and then drove back home, where he was reported to be doing fine.
