A Maine man is facing charges after fleeing from the police.

Deer Isle, Maine Man Arrested After the Search of a Wooded Area

Caleb Heanssler, 31, of Deer Isle, was arrested on Thursday, March 26, 2026, after Troopers responded to a domestic violence complaint in Sedgewick.

Heanssler was not at the location when the Troopers arrived, but was located after a search of a wooded area at a residence in Deer Isle.

Maine Man Faces Multiple Charges After Sedgewick Incident

He was arrested without incident and charged with:

  • Domestic violence stalking
  • 4 counts of violation of conditions of release
  • Violation of a protection order

In addition, Heanssler was arrested on an outstanding arrest warrant for domestic violence terrorizing.
