The search is continuing for an 85-year-old retired priest from Caribou who hasn't been seen since mid-July.

Caribou Police are asking for the public's help locating Reverend Clement Thibodeau, who was last seen at Reno's Family Restaurant, 117 Sweden Street., in Caribou on July 15th. In a post on the department's Facebook page, investigators say he drives a gray, 2013 Chevy Equinox with Maine registration 638A. He has ties to Waterville since he led a church there in the 1980's.

Centralmaine.com reports that the last time anyone heard anything was on July 18th when Thibodeau's cell phone sent a signal from somewhere in wooded areas of Washington, Penobscot, and Hancock Counties, possibly in the Lee area. (see map) A search by Game Wardens has scaled back, but they will continue to comb the area for any sign of the elderly man. In addition, a Silver Alert has been issued to keep Thibodeau's information and his image out in the public. Police say there's no indication of foul play in the disappearance, but they haven't ruled anything out.

Anyone with information about Reverend Thibodeau's whereabouts or the days leading up to his disappearance is asked to contact the Caribou Police Department at (207) 493-3301.
