A reward of up to $5,000 is being offered for information about the theft of firearms from a Waterville pawn shop.

How Did the Crime Go Down?

JR'S Trading and Pawn on Elm Street in Waterville was robbed on April 10th. According to the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives (ATF), two people wearing masks smashed a pane of glass from the street and entered the store illegally. They then broke a glass display case with a hammer and stole 14 handguns. The ATF has released these two photos of the suspects.

What are the Details of the Reward?

Now, the ATF and the National Shooting Sports Foundation, which is the trade association for the firearms industry, have announced a combined reward of up to $5,000 for information that leads to the arrest and prosecution of the person or persons responsible for the thefts. $2,500 of the reward provided by the ATF is being matched by the NSSF, part of a larger national cooperative initiative to offer rewards in cases involving the theft of firearms from federally licensed firearms retailers.
