Raymond Man Dies in Falmouth Motorcycle-Dump Truck Collision
Falmouth Police say a Raymond man died when the motorcycle he was driving collided with a dump truck.
The accident happened Wednesday on Route 100 in Falmouth. 45-year-old Joseph Goodwin of Raymond died from his injuries at the scene of the crash between his motorcycle and a dump truck. Police have not released the name of the truck's driver, who was not hurt in the accident. Route 100, between Mountain and Hurricane Roads, was closed for about 4 hours while crews cleared the scene.
Now, the Maine State Police Commercial Vehicles Unit and an Accident Reconstruction Unit from the Westbrook Police Department are assisting Falmouth Police in investigating the circumstances of the crash. The cause of the accident is pending the outcome of that investigation.
