Two Massachusetts residents and one person from Maine were arrested in a huge drug bust.

Maine Drug Bust in Portland Nets $100,000 in Illegal Drugs

The Maine Department of Public Safety says all three people are facing drug charges:

Dashawn Allen, 34, of Roxbury, Massachusetts:

  • Aggravated trafficking Schedule W drugs
  • Unlawful trafficking in Schedule W drugs
  • Possession of a firearm by a prohibited person.

Jaden Grant, 21, of Somerville, Massachusetts

  • Aggravated trafficking in Schedule W drugs
  • Unlawful trafficking in Schedule W drugs

Michael Ray, 71, of Portland, Maine

  • Aggravated trafficking in Schedule W drugs
  • Unlawful trafficking in Schedule W drugs.

No bail was allowed for any of the suspects. At the time of his arrest, Dashawn Allen also had an active arrest warrant for unlawful trafficking of Schedule W drugs.

Maine Department of Public Safety Spokesperson Shannon Moss says the investigation that led to the charges included undercover purchases of illegal drugs from Allen.

The execution of a search warrant on Thursday at 23 Hanover Street, Apartment 1R, in Portland resulted in the seizure of:

  • 622 ggw of fentanyl
  • 175 ggw of cocaine base (crack)
  • 45 ggw of cocaine HCL
  • 145 ggw of methamphetamine
  • Two loaded handguns
  • Over $5,600 in suspected drug proceeds

MDEA officials said the estimated street value of the drugs is over $100,000.
