Police are looking for two men after one allegedly fired a gun during a home invasion.

The incident was reported at around 4:00 Saturday morning. According to the Portland Press Herald, two male suspects broke into a home on Crabtree Road and began turning over furniture, looking for something. Two men were in the rented home at the time, but the tenant wasn't there.

One of the men was able to run out the back door and go next door to call for help. The other man was confronted by the intruders, who he says held a gun to him and demanded money. A single shot was fired through the floor in an attempt to intimidate the victim. When the suspects couldn't find what they were looking for, they ran out and, officials say, possibly left in a truck.

Officials say no one was hurt in the incident, and it was target-specific, so there's no danger to the public.

Anyone who thinks they have information is asked to contact the Knox County Regional Communications Center at (207) 594-0677.
