Suspect Arrested in Bangor Savings Bank Robbery [UPDATE]
Bangor police have arrested an Old Town man in connection with the robbery of the Bangor Savings Bank on Hogan Road Thursday.
Donald L. Turner, 48, is being held on a federal arrest warrant charging him with violating his probation. Turner is on federal probation for a previous bank robbery conviction.
Police say Turner was arrested at his apartment in Old Town. He was found in possession of a handgun at the time of his arrest, police said.
Police responded to the bank at about 2:25 p.m. Thursday for a report of a robbery. Turner was arrested at about 6 p.m.
Turner allegedly made a threat before fleeing the bank with an undisclosed amount of money. He is believed to have left the area in an unknown vehicle.
Charges related to the Bangor robbery are pending.
No one was injured.
