Missing Woman With Alzheimer’s Located In Holden

A woman with Alzheimer's was found safe Wednesday evening after she went missing from her Orrington home earlier in the day.

Joan Warren, 73, was seen leaving her Brewer Lake Road home around 10:30 a.m., according to her husband.

Her husband said his wife frequently goes for walks, but when she didn't return, he called police.

His call sparked a search by multiple emergency agencies.

Orrington Public Safety used social media to ask the public to keep an eye out for Warren.

A man driving in Holden spotted Warren just before 6 p.m. He said he had seen media reports about the woman's disappearance so he called police.

The Maine Warden Service told WABI that Warren was in good condition when authorities arrived at her location.
