Police Seek 2 Men Who Fled After High Speed Chase in Richmond
State and local police say two men who fled after leading officers on a high-speed chase in the Waterville area are considered armed and dangerous.
Skowhegan and Waterville Police are also involved in the search for two Connecticut men who ran from their vehicle during a police pursuit. Christopher Terence Farrow (AKA Young), 32, is described as a black male, 5'11", 200 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes. Dayshawn Middleton (AKA Dav Dav or Christopher Jones), 28, is described as a black male, 6'5", 150 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. Police say there may be a young-looking woman with them. Hailey Goeltz, 26 of Connecticut, is described as 5'7", with green eyes. Officials have no further details about the woman's description.
The incident started on Tuesday, when Waterville Police Officers tried to stop a vehicle they say was occupied by a man who was wanted on a robbery charge from Connecticut. The vehicle failed to stop and police gave chase through Waterville and Clinton, then into Augusta, which is where State Police got involved. Several attempts were made to use spike strips however, with speeds that topped 100 mph, police were unable to get ahead of the fleeing vehicle. State Police say the vehicle was sometimes driving in the wrong lane of travel, forcing other vehicles to move off the roadway.
In Richmond, the vehicle abruptly exited I-295 onto Route 197, and then made a turn onto Route 201 north, where Trooper Tyler Harrington was able to interfere with the vehicle's progress. Once the vehicle had stopped, the occupants ran into the woods. A K9 was unable to track the men. Trooper Harrington was transported by ambulance with symptoms consistent with a concussion. He was treated and released from Maine General Medical Center.
The suspect remain at large and police say should be considered armed and dangerous. Anyone with information about their whereabouts is asked to call 911 or 207-624-076, extension 9.
