State Police are asking for the public's help locating a pickup truck driver who caused an accident on I-95 Thursday night.

WABI-TV reports the accident happened in the northbound lane of I-95, near mile marker 181 in Bangor. Witnesses told police the driver of a pickup was swerving wildly through the lanes of traffic before losing control of the vehicle and eventually coming to a complete stop. The pickup was hauling a utility trailer loaded with what appeared to be fence posts.

The truck's sudden stop caused a chain reaction when the car behind it was forced to stop and was then hit by a tractor trailer. Police say no one was hurt but there was damage to the vehicles. The pickup truck's driver left the scene. Police say it was a Dodge truck and had Maine Veteran plates.

Anyone with information about the accident is asked to contact Bangor Police at (207) 973-3700.
