Police say one person was stabbed Friday afternoon in what they're calling 'not a random act.' The suspect and witnesses are being questioned.

Bangor Police responded to a report of a disturbance at 89 Market Street at around 3:45 Friday afternoon. When officers arrived, they found that one person had been stabbed. The victim was taken to a local hospital for treatment. There's no word on how badly they were injured.

Deputy Chief Brad Johnson said the suspect and witnesses have been identified and are being interviewed by detectives. Because it's an ongoing investigation, few details have been released, including the identity of the victim.
