Police Investigating Richmond Death as a Homicide
State Police say the death of a Richmond man is being investigated as a homicide.
Public Safety spokesman Steve McCausland says police have been investigating the death of Andrew Sherman, 48, since he was found deceased inside his Kimball Street home on October 11th. Sherman's body was discovered by a friend who became concerned after several days without contact. He lived alone at the home.
An autopsy has been conducted, but police are not commenting on Sherman's cause of death. Family, friends, and neighbors have been interviewed and the State Police Crime Lab has been analyzing evidence taken from Sherman's home.
Detectives would like to hear from anyone who may have seen, talked to, or heard from Sherman since September 25th. Anyone with information is asked to call State Police in Augusta at (207) 624-7076, extension 9.
