Police Investigate Fatal Route 9 Crash

A man is dead after a Monday morning crash involving a tractor-trailer and milk truck on Route 9 in Crawford.

The deceased, whose identity is being withheld, was the driver of the milk truck.

Police say the crash occurred just before 6 a.m.

Nicholas Cota, 20, of Greenfield Township, was driving the tractor-trailer west when it collided with the eastbound milk truck, according to police.

The crash occurred in the eastbound lane, and police said failure to maintain the proper lane and speed appear to be factors.

The investigation is continuing.
