Pine Tree Campers Explain What The Camp Means To Them [VIDEO]
It's Pine Tree Camp Egg Ride week so we thought it would be nice for you to hear what the camp really means to the kids and adults who go there.
The Pine Tree Camp is situated on beautiful North Pond in the town of Rome, Maine and it's a place where magic happens. I was there two years ago, to attend the dedication of a totally-accessible playground. Like everything else at Camp, it's adapted so everyone can enjoy it, including a moving platform, so kids in wheelchairs can swing. There's a beautiful tree house that's also accessible to everyone that looks out over the lake. And a huge dining hall where everyone gathers for meals, crafts, and dance parties.
I could go on and on about how impressed I was with the camp. But the true testament to its value comes from the words of the campers. In this video, made last summer at the Pine Tree Camp, you can hear how special the experience is for the kids, the staff, and even a camper who loved it so much, she decided to become a counselor.
After you watch the video, we really hope that you'll make a donation to the Q-106.5 Pine Tree Camp Egg Ride, that's coming up this Saturday, February 3rd. There are three ways you can do that:
