Penobscot Valley Ski Club Plans Fun for Skiers in Maine

Weekends spent at Sugarloaf, Saddleback, or any other ski resort are a tradition for many Mainers. Parents who grew up spending their spare time on the slopes are now passing their love of the sport to their children.

Even though I don't ski, I've been hearing about the Penobscot Valley Ski Club most of my life from friends who ski. It's been around since 1936, helping skiers connect with others and fun activities around the area.

The PVSC website provides information to skiers about events such as February's Great Caribou Bog Classic Ski Race.

Even though I don't ski, I am familiar with the Penobscot Valley Ski Club's Annual Ski Sale. This is the biggest sale of the year for anyone who loves to ski, and it's happening Saturday, October 18th, in Bangor.

Admission is free for this sale, which will feature new equipment and clean, used equipment for both Nordic and Alpine skiing at amazing prices.

Maine Skiers Can Sell Used Equipment at the PVSC Sale

Skiers who have equipment they no longer need can sell it on consignment by bringing it to the Bangor Parks and Recreation Building, located at 647 Main Street in Bangor, tonight between 5:00 and 7:00 p.m.

The sale will be held Saturday, between 8 a.m. and 2 p.m. in the Bangor Parks and Rec building, but if you're a member of the PVSC, you can take advantage of the members-only sale tonight after 7 p.m.
