Local musicians will gather in Passadumkeag this Sunday to help a family affected by cancer.

Ross Hollifield is a father of five, having raised a son of his own before marrying his wife Becky. He raised her two kids from a previous marriage and the couple had two of their own. He's always been the sole breadwinner for the family, and friends call him an amazing Dad. But Ross has been diagnosed with stage 4 pancreatic cancer, which is inoperable and incurable. Now, Becky is facing life without Ross, and with a family that she'll need to support.

So a group of local musicians are gathering Sunday at the Passadumkeag Town Hall, from noon to 5:30, to raise money for this very deserving family. In addition to the music, there will live and silent auctions, a 50/50 raffle, plenty of food, and dancing. It's important to note that Passadumkeag doesn't allow alcohol on their premises, so this is an alcohol-free event.

Auction items include a Pandora black onyx ring, a 2-day stay at Vacation Land Estates Resort, a VIP car detailing package from Darling's that includes a rental car to use while they work, and more! The line-up of bands is as follows:

The suggested donation is $10, but if you can't pay the full amount, they'll take what you can give. And, if you want to give more, they won't say no! Check the Facebook event page for 'Rockin for Ross' for information on how to donate if you can't make the dance.
