A man from New York is facing charges for the murder of a Massachusetts man in Maine.

New York Man Arrested for the Murder of a Massachusetts Man in Maine

The arrest was part of an investigation involving Maine authorities and the FBI.

Kareem Quattlebaum, 38, of New York, was arrested in the Bronx, New York. He's accused of killing Jaquan Humphries, 28, of Mattapan, Massachusetts, in Maine on March 12, 2025.

According to the Maine Department of Public Safety, the FBI took Quattlebaum into custody on October 15, 2025.

Jaquan Humphries was shot and killed on Wednesday, March 12, 2025 at a home located at 531 Madawaska Road in Palmyra, Maine.

New York Man Will Be Returned to Maine to Face a Murder Charge.

Quattlebaum is being held at Rikers Island pending an extradition hearing.
