A crash that sent two vehicles off the roadway of Route 15 in Orrington amazingly resulted in only minor injuries.

Orrington, Maine Crash Sent 1 Person to the Hospital With Minor Injuries

The names of the two drivers involved in the crash haven't been released. They were each alone in their vehicles when the accident happened.

According to the Penobscot County Sheriff's Office, one driver was transported to the hospital with minor injuries, while the second driver was evaluated and released at the scene.

It was approximately 1:55 pm when the Penobscot Regional Communications Center received a report of a two-vehicle crash on Route 15 in South Orrington.

Photos of the crash show a white pickup that had rolled over and a dark-colored vehicle with significant damage.

Cause of Orrington, Maine Crash is Under Investigation

Officials say a preliminary investigation indicates the sedan was traveling on Swetts Pond Road when it crossed on Route 15 into the path of a southbound truck.

The two vehicles collided and came to rest in the ditch.

Deputies were assisted by the reconstruction and drone team, along with the Orrington Fire Department.

This crash remains under investigation.
