Old Town Police have arrested a local man after a standoff on Stillwater Avenue Sunday morning.

Old Town, Maine, Standoff is Resolved With 1 Arrest

Christopher Campbell, 23, of Old Town is charged with:

  • Criminal threatening
  • Terrorizing
  • Criminal mischief
  • Creating a Police standoff.

Campbell was taken into custody Sunday morning, at approximately 10:15.

Old Town, Maine, Police Have Reopened Stillwater Avenue After Standoff

The incident began at approximately 4:17 Sunday morning when the Old Town Police Department received a report of a disorderly incident at 812 Stillwater Avenue. Responding officers learned that a threat had allegedly been made and the suspect had left the area.

The officers set up a perimeter around the area where they believed the suspect was located and blocked off a portion of Stillwater Avenue, from Governor's Restaurant to Pembroke Avenue.

Old Town, Maine, Man is in Custody After a Standoff on Stillwater Avenue

Old Town Police prepared a warrant, which was then executed by the Maine State Police Tactical Team. Mr. Campbell was located inside and taken into custody.
