A man from Brooklyn, New York was arrested during a drug bust at a home in Bath Monday.

Dashawn Gill, 31, was charged with aggravated trafficking in schedule W drugs, the Maine Department of Public Safety said in a Wednesday news release.

The Maine Drug Enforcement Agency, along with the Bath and Brunswick police departments and the Sagadahoc Sheriff’s Office, spent the past month investigating the distribution of heroin and crack cocaine in the Brunswick area.

The investigation, which included undercover purchases of drugs, culminated in the raid of a home on High Street in Bath, the release said.

Police said Gill was selling drugs out of the home, and he was there at the time of the raid.

Drug agents said 21 doses of crack cocaine, a loaded semi-automatic handgun and about $1,000 in suspected drug proceeds were seized from the home.

Gill was arrested and transported to the Two Bridges Regional Jail in Wiscasset, where bail was set at $25,000 cash.
