A Naples man was standing in a driveway when he was fatally struck by a vehicle involved in a chain-reaction crash.

Scott Martin, 56, of Naples, Maine, suffered fatal injuries in the crash that happened on Thursday near 227 Roosevelt Trail.

Cumberland County Sheriff's Department officials say Zackerie Brown, 29, of West Baldwin, was driving a Jeep Grand Cherokee on Roosevelt Drive just after 4 pm on Thursday when he swerved to avoid another vehicle.

When Brown's vehicle left the road, it hit a Ford van parked in a driveway.  WGME-TV reports Mr. Martin was standing near the van when he was hit and killed.
