Morrill Man Charged In Murder Of Belfast Man

A man from Morrill has been charged in the Friday morning shooting death of a man from Belfast.

Austin McDevitt, 22, has been charged with murder, according to police. He has been taken to Two Bridges Jail in Wiscasset.

McDevitt is accused of killing Shane Sauer, 26, of Belfast.

The shooting took place at about 4:45 a.m. Friday outside a home on Oak Hill Road in Swanville, according to police.

Police have not released the circumstances that led to the shooting.
