More Moose Permits To Be Issued In 2019 Than Previous Year
The number of lucky hunters selected for moose permits will be up slightly this season.
The Maine Department of Inland Fisheries & Wildlife is proposing issuing 2,820 moose permits this year. That's 320 more permits than the pervious year, according to the BDN. The proposed breakdown is 2,130 antlered permits, 650 antlerless-only permits and 40 any-moose permits.
Hunters have until May 15 to apply for a moose permit. The drawing will be held at Cabela's in Scarborough, June 8.
