State and Houlton Police say the 86-year-old man left his home sometime during the night.

UPDATE: State Police say Kenneth Butler was found safe Sunday morning. He had driven to Bangor, where his car got a flat tire.

Public Safety spokesman Steve McCausland says Kenneth Butler may be driving south on I-95 in his tan Lexus, with the Maine license plate number 70101. A car similar to his was reported on the interstate in Clinton around 5 a.m., but police have not been able to locate it. Family members say Butler has memory issues and believe he may have been traveling to the Bangor area. He's described as 5'7" tall and weighs 200 pounds, with white hair and brown eyes. He has no wallet or cellphone with him, and may be wearing a denim 'John Deere' hat.

Anyone with information about the whereabouts of Butler or his car is asked to call 911 or Houlton Police at 532-2287.
