A Silver Alert for a missing Long A Township man who was said to be in crisis has been canceled as he has been found safe.

UPDATE: Maine State Police report Bret Libby has been found safe. They thank the public for assisting in this matter.

Maine Department of Public Safety spokesperson Shannon Moss says the Penobscot County Sheriff's Office issued the alert for 26-year-old Bret Libby. He was last seen on Tuesday at midnight and, officials say, had been in crisis for at least the last two days.

Libby is described as a white male, 5'9" tall, 172 pounds, with brown hair, and brown eyes. When he was last seen, he was walking into the woods off of Jo Mary Road and was not wearing any clothes.

Again, Bret Libby has been found safe and the silver alert cancelled.
