Messy Storm Headed To Bangor Area, Northern Maine [UPDATE]
The Bangor region will see a messy storm come through Tuesday bringing with it snow and ice, according to the latest forecast from the National Weather Service.
The forecast calls for snow to start in the Bangor area around 3 p.m. on Tuesday and spread north throughout the day. The Bangor area is expected to receive about 5 inches of snow, with lesser amounts along the coast and greater amounts to the north.
Temperatures are then supposed to rise in the overnight hours changing the precipitation to sleet and freezing rain early Wednesday morning producing a glaze to as much as one tenth of an inch of ice.
