The State Medical Examiner's office has ruled that the death of an 18-year-old fisherman was accidental. Darren Clement died while on a fishing trip with his family.

Police were called on May 24th to Piscataquis County when Clement failed to meet up with his uncle and cousin. The three had gone fishing together, but had split up, with an agreement to meet at a prearranged time. When Clement failed to show, his family called for help.

A search was launched and Clement's body was located at around 8:00 that evening. An autopsy by the State's Medical Examiner has determined that the teen died of accidental drowning.

Darren Clement was a senior at Penobscot Valley High School in Howland.
