Mechanic Falls Man is Accused of Setting the Fire
Daniel Field, 30, of Mechanic Falls, is charged with arson and failing to maintain or control a dangerous fire.
Maine State Fire Marshal's Office Determined the Fire Was Intentionally Set
Mechanic Falls Police requested State Fire Marshal Investigators for a structure fire at a multi-family building on Pleasant Street at approximately 5 pm on Tuesday, March 25th. After investigating the scene, officials determined that the fire was incendiary.
The Suspect in the Mechanic Falls Fire is a Co-Owner of the Building
Field was arrested and now faces charges for the fire. The Maine Department of Public Safety reports that Mr. Field lived in the building and is also a co-owner of the residence.
No information has been released about a possible motive for the fire.
This case remains under investigation, with the Mechanic Falls Police and Fire Departments assisting the State Fire Marshal's Office.
