Reckitt has recalled about 16,200 bottles of Woolite Delicates detergent (50-fluid-ounce size) due to possible contamination with bacteria.

The detergent may contain Pseudomonas species, which are commonly found in soil and water.

While healthy people are unlikely to be affected, those with weakened immune systems or medical devices are at risk of serious infection. The bacteria can enter the body through the eyes or broken skin.

As of March 27th, 2025, no injuries or illnesses have been reported. The recall was announced on March 20th, 2025.

The recall is for 50-fluid-ounce bottles of Woolite Delicates detergent that were sold exclusively on Amazon.com in January 2025 for between $14 and $17.

Consumers should stop using them immediately and contact Reckitt for a full refund by following the instructions provided on the Consumer Product Safety Commission’s website.

The recall includes bottles with lot codes S24364, S24365, and S24366. Once refunded, the product should be tightly sealed and disposed of in the household trash—do not empty or recycle the bottle.
