Massachusetts Man Accused Of Selling Crack and Fentanyl in Maine
A Massachusetts man is facing charges in connection with the alleged trafficking of crack cocaine and fentanyl in Biddeford.
The Maine Drug Enforcement Agency arrested Frank Barrett of Hyde Park, Massachusetts on Wednesday. The 44-year-old has been under investigation for allegedly selling crack cocaine and fentanyl in the Biddeford/Saco area. During the investigation, officials say undercover agents made several purchases of crack cocaine from Barrett.
He was arrested in the Biddeford Hannaford parking lot this week without incident and charged with Aggravated Trafficking in Crack Cocaine. The Class A charge was elevated to 'aggravated' because of an alleged sale in a school zone. Barrett was also charged with an additional count of Aggravated Trafficking in Fentanyl, which was elevated to aggravated because of a prior conviction in Massachusetts in 2012.
