One man was hospitalized after being run over in an alleged road rage incident Monday in Topsham.

Police Sergeant Robert Ramsay told Centralmaine.com that two drivers pulled over on Route 201 in Topsham shortly after 5:00 Monday afternoon, following some sort of disagreement. One of the drivers, a 27-year-old man, got out of his car and was run over by the other vehicle, which then continued on, driving north toward Richmond. The victim, whose name has not been released, sustained leg trauma that didn't appear to be life-threatening. Police say the vehicle that left the scene was a red Ford Focus.

This accident remains under investigation.
