A man was seriously hurt when his pickup truck rolled over on Main Street in Corinth Tuesday night.

According to the Penobscot County Sheriff's Office, emergency crews responded to the crash just after 7:30, on Route 15, near the intersection with Hudson Hill Road. Lieutenant James Ellis told WVII-TV that a GMC pickup veered off the side of the road, as it was traveling north, crashed through the 'Corinth' sign, and rolled over several times. The driver was ejected from the truck and sustained serious injuries. He was taken by ambulance to Northern Light Eastern Maine Medical Center. No one else was in the vehicle.

Officials are now working to determine what caused the driver to veer out of the roadway. The name of the injured man has not been released.
