Police say a Naples man claims he was taken from his home, stuffed in a car's trunk, forced to strip naked, and shot at by four men.

The Cumberland County Sheriff's Office received a report of a naked man running down the road and shots being fired just after midnight Monday morning. Deputies responded to Tenney Hill Road in Casco and found the man, who told them he'd been forced from his home in Naples at gunpoint. He said four men put him in the trunk of a car, drove to the area where he was found, and told him to strip. In fear for his life, the man said he ran into the woods while the men allegedly fired shots at him.

The 30-year-old man gave police a description of the vehicle, which was then located in Windham. Deputies took the four male occupants into custody and charged them with drug trafficking. Bail was set at $150,000 each and officials say more charges are possible. The men are:

  • Ajoung M. Maluial, 22, of Westbrook, Maine
  • Mahdi B. Ali, 23, Boston, Massachusetts
  • Noh Y. Okubazghi, 20, Boston, Massachusetts
  • Samson S. Samsom, 22, Minneapolis, Minnesota

The victim was taken to Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston and treated for gunshot wounds. Officials say he's in stable, non-life threatening condition.
