A website that highlights some of Maine's most beautiful waterfalls, paired with a video containing breathtaking photography, has me wishing for summer.

The website called 'Only In Your State' has compiled a list of some of the nicest waterfalls in Western Maine. The site's author says you can travel to all of them in about five hours drive time. Check out the list to read more about Snow Falls, Screw Augur Falls, Dunn Falls, The Cataracts, Coos Canyon, Angel Falls, Smalls Falls, and Rumford Falls. I didn't even realize how many waterfalls there are in this state, and I've lived here all my life!

While I was thinking about waterfalls, I went to YouTube and ran a search. What I came up with is this beautifully photographed video of several waterfalls and wildlife from photographer James MacMaster. He says, in the footnotes, that these are some of the sites he and his partner have come across while hiking through Maine. The visuals are stunning! And he just happened to use one of my favorite pieces of music, so I've watched it three times already.

Take a quick break from today's snowstorm, and think about summer. Hiking. Maybe taking a picnic, so you can sit by the waterfall and eat your lunch. Ahhhhh....I'm ready for spring!
