State police continue to investigate the death of a Wiscasset woman who may have jumped from a moving vehicle early Sunday morning.

The investigation into the death of Kimberly Hill, 33, is expected to last several days, Department of Public Safety spokesman Stephen McCausland said Monday.

Detectives plan to consult with the state medical examiner's office and the state police crime lab, and examine a 2016 Chevrolet Denali pickup truck owned by Hill's boyfriend, Tyler Poland, 29, of Greene.

Detectives have said they are looking into the possibility that Hill jumped from the truck.

McCausland said Monday that Poland placed Hill in the cab of the truck, not in the back of the vehicle as originally reported, and drove south along Route 201, likely on his way to Redington-Fairview General Hospital in Skowhegan.

Poland called 911 and first responders caught up with his vehicle in The Forks, where Hill was pronounced dead.
