Maine Non-Profits Hope For Donations On Giving Tuesday

Today is Giving Tuesday, a day set aside for charitable giving, and Maine's non-profits are hoping residents will be generous.

This is such an active time of year, between Thanksgiving - when we all pause to appreciate the blessings in our lives, and Christmas - when we give gifts to our loved ones. In between those two holidays, Mainers take part in the craziness of Black Friday sales, supporting local merchants on Small Business Saturday, and shopping in our pajamas on Cyber Monday.

Giving Tuesday encourages us to remember the non-profits in our communities, who are able to do their good works thanks to the generosity of their benefactors. Without those donations, most charities would be unable to operate. So consider showing them some appreciation by giving what you can to your favorite charity.
