Newport, Maine, native Cooper Flagg is expected to be selected with the top pick in the 2025 NBA Draft on Wednesday night, and as the No. 1 overall selection, Flagg can sign the most lucrative rookie contract in the league.

But how much money could Flagg earn from his rookie contract with the Dallas Mavericks, the team that holds the top pick?

According to Spotrac, Flagg's rookie deal could be worth about $62 million.

A look at the 2025-26 rookie scale from Spotrac shows a value of about $62.7 million over four years for the top pick in the NBA Draft.

That's an average annual value of almost $15.7 million, with over $13.8 million coming to him in the first year of his deal.

Spotrac's look at the 2025 rookie scale states that values "represent 120% of the rookie scale. First round picks can sign for as low as 80% of the Rookie Scale or as high as 120% of the Rookie Scale."

Flagg will enter the NBA after reportedly earning $28 million in NIL money from his lone season at Duke.

That staggering figure was reported by sports journalist and TV and radio personality Howard Bryant in a May 11 interview with legendary sportscaster Bob Costas.

Bryant said that Flagg had a $13 million deal with New Balance and a $15 million deal with Fanatics.
