We want to say up front that we don't know a whole lot about this movie other than the basics. There's not even a trailer. But with a title like this, you can understand why it would pique our interest.

The Tribeca Film Festival has listed the movie Maine as one of the movies that will be showing in this year's annual festival held in New York City.

Information about the movie is minimal but there is some information from a 2016 story from the Hollywood Reporter published shortly after the project wrapped up shooting in Virginia.

According to the Hollywood Reporter, the movie's premise is described as a relationship drama and is written and directed by Matthew Brown (director of In the Treetops).  The movie stars Thomas Mann (Kong: Skull Island, Our House, Lean Pete, Me and Earl and the Dying Girl) and Laia Costa (Nieve negra) as two hikers, one American and on Spaniard, on the Appalachian trail who get to know each other through the trek.

The movie is scheduled to show at the Tribeca Film Festival in New York City Monday, April 23rd at 7:30 EST.

Tribeca is a festival started by Robert de Niro and other movie leaders in 2001 following the World Trade Center attacks to spur economic recovery after the event.  The festival includes movie premiers, industry talks and live performances.
