Two Maine men are facing charges in connection with a fatal overdose in Hancock County.
Maine Men Arrested for 2024 Fatal Overdose in Tremont
The suspects taken into custody on Wednesday, October 8, 2025, are:
- David Baker, 60, of Franklin
- Nicholas Parlatore, 55, of Tremont.
Both of the men were taken to the Hancock County Jail, where bail was set at $15,000 each.
Maine Men Arrested for Fatal Overdose at Tremont Home
Officials say the charges stem from an incident on January 13, 2024, at a home in Tremont. Officials responded to a report of two unresponsive men found inside a home. Officials administered aid, but one of the men died.
An investigation by the Hancock County Sheriff's Office over the last year and a half resulted in arrest warrants for Baker and Parlatore.

Each suspect faces multiple charges.
David Baker is charged with:
- Aggravated trafficking in schedule drugs resulting in death
- Aggravated furnishing of scheduled drugs resulting in death
- Aggravated furnishing of scheduled drugs resulting in serious bodily injury.
Nicholas Parlatore is charged with:
- Aggravated furnishing of scheduled drugs resulting in death
- Aggravated furnishing of scheduled drugs resulting in serious bodily injury
