Maine Man ‘Towing’ Car With Pickup Arrested On OUI Charge
An East Waterboro man didn't necessarily leave the scene of an accident. He took it with him.
Buxton Police have released details of bizarre OUI arrest made last weekend. According to police, on April 20, officers noticed a large pickup that appeared to be towing another vehicle. Because the officers observed no rear lights on either vehicle they conducted a traffic stop.
Officers quickly noticed that the pickup had apparently backed into the second vehicle, lodging its trailer hitch into the other vehicle's rear bumper.
The driver of the pickup, 25 year-old Justin Sproul of East Waterboro, was arrested for OUI. He'll answer to the charge in Biddeford District Court in June.
