The deceased has been identified as Declan Perry, 27, of Portland, Maine. Officials say his body was found wrapped in duct-taped blankets in a vehicle with Maine license plates.
Perry's death is being investigated as suspicious. Officials have not released how he died.
Maine Man's Body Was Found in a Car in Massachusetts Outside a Hospital
Weymouth and Massachusetts State Police were called to South Shore Hospital on Saturday, August 23, 2025, for a deceased person found in a vehicle, parked outside the entrance to the emergency department. There was what appeared to be a bullet hole in the windshield of the vehicle.

Perry's body was found in the backseat, wrapped in blankets. The driver was not at the scene.
