Maine Lobster Buoy Found in France [PHOTO]

If only this buoy had a camera attached to it to show its long journey!

On Sunday a photo of a buoy found washed ashore in Brest, France was circulating Facebook searching for the owner. The photo, originally shared in the 'Lost at Sea' Facebook group,  was shared in other groups and on Reddit. Through the magic of Facebook it took less than a day to find the owner!

According to comments on the original post the buoy came from a man in Addison, Maine! That's an estimated 2,551 nautical miles! What a journey!

The owner of the buoy is aware it has been found and it is unclear if there are plans to return it. See the post and comments here.
