A New York is facing multiple charges in Maine after the search of an Airbnb turned up illegal drugs.
New York Man Faces Aggravated Drug Trafficking Charges in Maine
Raymond H. Teran, 51, of Bronx, New York, faces several charges in Maine, including:
- Aggravated trafficking in cocaine
- Trafficking in cocaine base
- Illegal importation of cocaine
- Falsifying physical evidence.
He was transported to the Cumberland County Jail, where his bail was set at $50,000 cash.
Maine Drug Agents Seize $22K in Cocaine From an Airbnb
The charges stem from an investigation into the illegal interstate trafficking of cocaine, which led detectives and drug agents to an Airbnb on Emery Street in Portland.
Mr. Teran had been seen coming and going from the residence several times.

Officials obtained a search warrant for the residence, which was executed by Maine Drug Enforcement Agents, Portland Police, and agents from the U.S. DEA.
Seized in that search were:
- Over 500 grams of cocaine
- 13 grams of cocaine base (crack)
- Over $38.000 in suspected drug proceeds
- Additional evidence of illegal drug importation and sales.
Authorities say the estimated street value of the drugs is $22,000.

This case remains under investigation and additional criminal charges are expected.
