Preparing for a Maine Beach Trip Involves Packing Some Essentials
My husband and I love to hop in the car and go to our favorite beach in Southern Maine at a moment's notice. The spontaneity of the trip is half the fun, but we still check carefully before leaving to make sure we have all we need.
I bought a lightweight beach bag a few years ago and keep it stocked with most of the things you'll see on this list. When Jim calls me at work and says, "Let's go," I mainly just have to tell him which book I'm reading, and when to pick me up.

There were a few things I didn't put on the list because I think they're a matter of choice. Some people like to have a change of clothes and some shower stuff so they can wash up after leaving the beach. I enjoy the beach smells on the drive home and then shower before filling my bed with sand.
