A Levant man, and member of the Glenburn Fire Department, was killed when his motorcycle came across a deer in the road in Glenburn.

The Penobscot County Sheriff's Office says the accident happened at approximately 10:36 Sunday night, on the Town House Road in Kenduskeag. 30-year-old Kevin Call Jr. of Levant was driving a 1988 Harley Davidson, when he encountered a deer in the roadway, as he drove into a corner. Call was unable to avoid the deer, lost control of his bike, and crashed. He died as a result of that accident. Call was a member of the Glenburn Fire Department.

The sheriff's office was aided at the scene by the Levant and Kenduskeag Fire Departments and Levant Northern Light Health Ambulance.

This crash remain under investigation.
