Lebanon Couple Dead In Apparent Murder-Suicide
Police say a Lebanon woman was allegedly killed by her ex-boyfriend, who then took his own life.
Public Safety spokesman Steve McCausland says the bodies of 30-year-old Allison Parker and 27-year-old Thomas Doyon were found on Saturday afternoon inside a Bigelow Road home. The couple shared the residence with Parker's parents. Detectives are calling the deaths a case of domestic violence and have ruled it an apparent murder-suicide.
State Police say the couple recently ended their relationship and Allison was at the home to retrieve her belongings, as she had recently moved out. She had a female friend with her, at the time, and her parents were also in the home when they heard gunshots from an upstairs bedroom. The three fled the house and called 911.
The couple's bodies have been transported to the State Medical Examiner's Office in Augusta, where autopsies will be conducted. Police say the couple had been together for about 3 years. Allison leaves behind a 7-year-old daughter, but officials say Doyon was not the father.
