What a find this was!

On a recent road trip, my husband reluctantly stopped at one of those antique stores on Route 1 in Maine. I THINK it was the York Antiques Gallery, but I could be wrong about that. I just wanted to look around, and what did I spy with my little eye?  A book by Willie Nelson titled, "Roll me up and smoke me when I die."  Me, being a music lover, picked up the book. I knew I would like this book because I am a fan of all kinds of music, including the living legend himself, Willie Nelson.  Then I discovered that the book was also autographed, or so I think it is.

When I flipped over the book to see how much it was, I was thinking it was going to be out of my price range. However, it was $12.  I could swing it!  So, I ran up to the cash register and showed the guy behind the counter my find.  He was surprised that he didn't see it himself and, quite somberly, rang me up and took $12 whole dollars out of my bank account for a signed Willie Nelson book.  Man, what a steal!

This is Willie Nelson's Autograph

This is an actual picture of the book that I bought that day.  I don't know about you, but it sure does look like his signature to me!  But a quick Google search showed me that this may be, sadly, a print of his signature and not the actual ink.  Check out this auction that I found showing this exact signature.  The auction says something about one or two books that Willie signed.  Maybe this IS one of them.

I am hopeful that it's an actual autograph from Willie himself, but if it isn't, I'm cool with that.  I love him and his music, so even if this is just a print, I'm okay with that.  I'll never sell it.  When I die, this will come with me so my family can "Roll me up and smoke" me, too, when I die.

What do you think?  Does it look real to you?
